T Mobile 'to offer blocking service'
T Mobile could be working on a new system that will give more power to its users over who can and cannot get in touch with them.
TMONews has stated this week that the network could soon allow users of its mobile phones the ability to block unwanted call and texts as well as emails, instant messages and MMS messages.
Gizmodo reports that the news is welcome and adds that such a service would be of great benefit to people with mobile phones, asking: "Why don't more providers do this?"
It notes that in particular, the inclusion of such an option with a mobile tariff would help deal with "annoying automated calling systems that somehow call you for days on end but don't say anything".
Although Gizmodo initially stated that the news was "unconfirmed", CrunchGear has since said that T Mobile has gone ahead with the offering and posted details of how customers can activate it.
