International roaming might not be something you've
considered as being useful, but once you've had it, you'll want it
everytime you go abroad. On this page you can find out how to activate
this service, how much it costs, and all importantly, how you can access a world

What Do I Need to Do Before I Go? The first thing you need to do is ensure your handset is set up. At least 24 hours before you leave, call o2 on 121 from your phone, and they will set up your phone to be used abroad. Even if youre leaving within the next 24 hours, give them a ring anyway. They will do everything they can to help. Theres no connection fee or monthly charge to set up your phone to be used abroad, but connection is subject to status and they may ask for a deposit. You only need to set up your phone once, after that its always ready to use abroad. Different phones work in different countries so you're best making sure that your phone will actually work in the country you're going to. All of o2's roaming tariffs are flat rates, so it costs the same any time of the day or night and at weekends. Can I Reduce The Cost of My Calls? The answer is yes. O2 offer an option which you can add to your package, which allows you to reduce the cost of your calls. This option is called the International Traveller Service. If you call abroad or roam regularly, you can get 40% off all calls made abroad and 80% off calls from the UK to another country.
